Convert between percentage, US 4.0 GPA and CGPA. Every converter here shows the method differences instead of hiding them, because the method you pick changes the number —and which method a US programme uses is not up to you.
The biggest audience and the most abused conversion. Simple ±25, WES-style bands for China and India, and university algorithms side by side.
Open the converter US →PercentageThe reverse is a looser fit. Linear ×25, the letter-band range it implies, and your university factor —with the caveat built in.
Open the converter CGPA →USFor Indian 10-point transcripts and other scales. Linear, WES-style and the UGC percentage route —the three read differently, so you get all three.
Open the converterAn 8.5 CGPA is 3.4 linear, ≈.7 under WES-style mapping, and ≈.2 via the UGC percentage route. All three are defensible; none is 'the' answer.
A 90 in China or India is strong work; a 90 in the US is often a B. Evaluators adjust for this —which is why raw percentage-to-letter shortcuts mislead.
The one that matters is the method your target programme requires —often a professional evaluation from WES, ECE or a NACES member. Use these converters to plan and to understand the range; submit the transcript.
Credits convert separately from grades. When your transcript carries ECTS, ECTS →US credits and its reverse live over on the credit side.
